Circular Bookshelf is Propelled by Walking

This circular bookshelf called Archive II is currently on exhibition at Denmark's University of Roskilde Main Library. The bookshelf is actually propelled by walking, so you could read and get exercise at the same time. The bookshelf was created by the David Garcia Studio.

The are three entries in the Archive Series which was exhibited at the Royal Danish Art Academy Fall Show 2005. Archive II is described as a circular library for the nomad book collector. Another entry in the series features a chair that is elevated in proportion to the amount of books contained in the bookshelves.
